Troubleshooting Guide — Stanley Dura‑Glide® All‑Glass Doors

The Stanley Dura‑Glide® 2000AG/3000AG all‑glass sliding door system offers sleek design and smooth performance—but like all automation, it requires occasional attention. Use this guide to resolve common problems and ensure reliable operation.

1. Power / Mode Errors

  • No response: Confirm the power switch is on and set to AUT. If it’s on CLS or OPN, the door remains fixed.
  • Door frozen: Power-cycle — turn off power, wait 15–30 seconds, then restore. This resets the controller.

2. Sensor & Obstruction Issues

  • Clean all safety beams, motion sensors, and tracks—dust or debris can trigger false reversals.
  • Wave plate activation should visibly or audibly respond—no activation means no door movement.

3. Unexpected Reversals or Stops

  • Inspect and clear obstructions in the track.
  • Check breakout panels (they swing out under force)—ensure proper re-engagement into tracks.

4. Abnormal Noise or Rough Movement

  • Clean and inspect the track.
  • Check roller wheels and bearings for wear—replace if noisy or damaged.

5. Speed or Timing Problems

  • The control switches under the header allow setting modes like Auto/Close/Open/Reduced. Verify correct configuration.
  • After power-up, the controller performs a slow “search cycle”—this is normal recalibration.

6. Error Codes (Controller Display)

  • Common service codes like “E1” to “E9” indicate sensor or motor faults—refer to your STANLEY controller manual for calibration or part diagnosis.
  • A display reading like “A.0” indicates a First Install Sequence (FIS) needs restarting.

7. Daily Safety Checks

  • Check sensors and door operation daily: door should open at approximately 5 feet approach and close smoothly once clear.
  • Verify glass integrity—cracks require immediate service.

8. Critical Do’s & Don’ts

  • DO power off before cleaning tracks.
  • DO NOT lubricate internal components—the system is factory-lubricated.
  • DO NOT open the control cover—only accredited technicians should perform adjustments.
